LEVEN KAN

InteractPersonalArchive

A project I just finished.
The house is based on the Marie Short House designed by Glenn Murcutt.

The original design had a space in between the volumes strictly intended for crossing over. I felt the space didn’t meet it’s full potential and based the whole design around this intermediate space.

The columns were redesigned to guide private/public closed/open areas. Ultra-fine sections were placed densely for private spaces (bedrooms & sanitary cells). Robuster columns helped creating an open plan and provide a free living area for the whole family across the deck.
